{"id":1253,"date":"2024-02-12T20:40:38","date_gmt":"2024-02-13T03:40:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/salesforcechronicles.com\/?p=1253"},"modified":"2024-03-05T14:13:32","modified_gmt":"2024-03-05T21:13:32","slug":"how-to-request-data-cloud-trail-org","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salesforcechronicles.com\/?p=1253","title":{"rendered":"How to request Data Cloud Trail Org ?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The process for requesting a Data Cloud Trail org has recently been updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What has changed?\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Before: Previously, Partner Learners were required to submit a Google Form, providing an org with a validity of 90 days.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now: Partner Learners can now initiate a Data Cloud Trail org request from the Partner Learning Portal, and the org will be valid for 30 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is it possible to request an Org extension?\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Data Cloud orgs will not be extended after expiry. The remaining fields will be automatically populated. Please note that it may take some time after submission to receive the email with org request details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Do\u2019s and Don\u2019ts in trail org<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Data Cloud Trial orgs are intended exclusively for Data Cloud Curriculum &amp; Credential purposes and not for demonstration use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow the hands-on guide and ensure that no automated schedules, especially for Segment Publishing, have been set.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delete and remove any unused&nbsp;<strong>Data Streams and Insights<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove any scheduled segment publishing activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have a scheduled Data Stream, change the schedule to &#8216;None&#8217; and perform manual refreshes when necessary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimize the frequency of &#8216;Recount&#8217; or &#8216;Save&#8217; changes to a Segment, as these actions result in costs separate from publishing a Segment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid configuring&nbsp;<strong>excessive data ingestions<\/strong>&nbsp;and building overly&nbsp;<strong>complex Calculated Insights.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do not share<\/strong>&nbsp;access to this environment with customers for any purpose.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>References &#8211; https:\/\/quip.com\/SSWoA8C2R16a<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The process for requesting a Data Cloud Trail org has recently been updated.
